The Playstation Show: Why do we have to have Lumines?

I blame Tetris.

Once upon a time, a handheld launched with a puzzle game. The handheld was the original Nintendo Gameboy, and the title was Tetris. It changed portable gaming forever, and it changed the mindset on launch titles for ever. Now we have to have a puzzle game at every launch. Is there any other reason why we need a third version of Lumines? I lay out the case in this week’s podcast.

Sorry Ewan, but I adore Lumines and I’ve bought every version they’ve released with relish. Lumines is here to stay for us die hard fans.

But I hear you, nothing can ever or will ever beat Tetris for puzzle perfection.
